Below includes various projects that highlight points in my career that give examples of the tasks, and challenges presented throughout the project and the results. Partnering with Operations to ensure successful implementation on any project is key to positive results. Creating relationships within the organization makes projects like the below run smoothly. 

New Franchise Set-up

Task

  • Develop system for on-boarding new franchisees

Challenge

  • Current franchisee processes were all based on training created for corporate locations and altered where needed

  • No dedicated, documented franchisee program

Result

  • Built the Road to Cafe Opening 

  • Decreased time to market - program reduced the cafe opening schedule by 45 days

  • Increased revenue potential for franchisees

Catering Operations

Task

  • Provide a road map to support the execution of catering operations and sales

 

Challenge

  • Harness the undocumented best practices 

 

Result

  • Increased order accuracy

  • 5% decrease in food cost

  • System alignment across the brand

Fleet Program

Task

  • Develop a program that supported catering delivery while keeping food safe

Challenge

  • Fleet vehicles only held food in racks and bins with no temperature control

Result

  • Custom designed vehicles with 70% refrigeration & 30% ambient

  • Resulted in the ability to transport food longer at safe temperatures

Point of Sale (POS)

 

Task

  • Design, develop, and implement new POS throughout brand

 

Challenges

  • The brand was being sold

  • Old system needed to be replaced within six months 

  • Current system was integrated with retail and catering 

 

Result

  • New system implemented which resulted in better reporting metrics, easier for operators and cost effective  

Manager's Communication Log

 

Task

  • Provide a program that would track opening tasks, goals, and objectives

 

Challenge

  • Cross functional alignment of needed content

 

Result

  • Manager had consistent documentation

  • Alignment of all company initiatives

  • Tool to use as a reference

Commissary

Task

  • Create a program to supply restaurant locations with baked goods

Challenge

  • Preparing items in bulk

  • Delivering while maintaining "Fresh to the Guest"

Result

  • A rework of recipes for bulk production to decrease bake times

  • Developed a delivery system which maintained freshness

Virtual Kitchen

Task

  • Create a system for selling brand identified foods from a satellite location

 

Challenge

  • Prepare packaged items to deliver to remote site 

  • Items to be heated and presented to Guest as if they were prepared at the remote location, fresh

 

Result

  • Ability to execute hand crafted items

  • Built incremental sales in 18 locations where the brand did not have brand recognition
